Maanyag Nga Lalik – Kasalang Filipino 2009 – Dumaguete Leg

The City of Gentle People, Dumaguete City, will open its doors to soon-to-wed couples in Central Visayas. On May 22 – 23, 2009, local wedding suppliers of Negros Oriental will present their wedding products and services along with the Visayan wedding traditions at the Maanyag Nga Lalik wedding fair to be held at the Bethel Guest House, Rizal Boulevard, Dumaguete City.

This year’s Kasalang Filipino is endorsed by the Department of Tourism and supported by the Provincial Government of Negros Oriental and local government of Dumaguete City.

Kasalang Filipino 2009 is a nationwide wedding fair road show which ties twelve (12) Philippine cities with one goal of promoting the local wedding industry. The following are the 12 cities of the 2009 road show – San Pablo, Tagaytay, Tarlac, Dagupan, Legazpi, Dumaguete, General Santos, Cagayan de Oro, Davao, Bacolod, Manila, and Cebu.

Creative Concepts shall transform Bethel Guest House into a magnificent wedding venue. Numerous activities have been lined up for attending couples such as bridal bouquet making competition, wedding table set-up and skirting competition. Local wedding photographers of Negros will showcase their unique style in photography during the wedding photo exhibit. Renowned flower and event stylist Henry Pascual will conduct a talk and free demonstration on the latest in event styling. The latest bridal collection of premier bridal couturiers of Dumaguete City and Cebu will take the runway.

Amateur and professional make up artist will showcase their skills at the Ever Bilena Gandang Pinay Bridal Make up competition. Representatives from the Dumaguete City Population Commission will spearhead a free marriage seminar for soon to wed couples. The event will be capped with the display of destination wedding inspired designer cakes of Ms. Mae Antoniette Yee-Arbon and the Kabuklan Festival street parade and showdown. Lucky couples will get a chance to win free wedding giveaways, honeymoon packages, and appliance showcases during the bridal fair
