Wedding suppliers from Davao City and the rest of Mindanao proved why it could be the next wedding capital of the Philippines during the seventh leg of Kasalang Filipino 2010 12-city wedding and tourism fair and exhibit, held last June 25 – 27, 2010 at NCCC Mall in Davao City.

The event, co-presented by Kasal.com, ABS-CBN Regional Network Group, and New City Commercial Corporation (NCCC) Mall Davao, showcased the best wedding venues, products, and services from the Crown Jewel of Mindanao as well as other wedding suppliers from nearby provinces.

Kasalang Filipino Ended 2009 Road show in Cebu City

Once again, Cebu proved why the Queen of the South is one of the premier wedding destinations in the country as Cebu City hosted the last leg of Kasalang Filipino 2009 12-city wedding fair and exhibit last November 13 – 15, 2009 at the Ayala Center Cebu in Cebu City.

Co-presented by Ayala Center Cebu, Kasal.com, and ABS-CBN Regional Network Group, Kasalang Filipino 2009 showcased the best wedding products and services of Cebu City. The three-day wedding fair and exhibit

coincided with Ayala Center Cebu’s 15th Anniversary and Mall-wide sale.

Aside from great discounts offered by various shops in the mall, numerous activities were also staged throughout the wedding fair. Seventeen aspiring and professional make-up artists showed off their creativity and skills at the Ever Bilena Gandang Pinay Bridal Make-up Competition. In the end, Nicolito Laurel was declared winner and won for himself the grand prize of P20, 000.00 worth of Ever Bilena products, 1-year Gold Priority Listing advertising in Kasal.com worth P4, 000.00, and a trophy. He will also be featured in the company’s various ad campaigns. Local bands serenaded guests and soon-to-wed couples with their rendition of popular wedding songs. Renowned vocal group The Company capped the first day of the wedding fair with a mini-concert held at The Terraces.

The following day, members of the Cebu Fashion Designers Alliance (CFDA) and Fashion Council of Cebu showcased their latest bridal and entourage collection on the runway, which solicited cheers and admiration from the crowd. The day was highlighted with the performance of Freestyle at The Terraces. The last day of Kasalang Filipino 2009 was highlighted with the special presentation of multi-awarded singer Bituin Escalante at the Activity Center. All the couples that attended the event received free gift packs while lucky couples received special gift packs, gift certificates, and honeymoon package from event sponsors.

The country’s best wedding suppliers were together under one roof during the Manila leg of Kasalang Filipino 2009 12-city wedding fair and exhibit held last October 1 – 2, 2009 at The Enterprise Center in Ayala Ave., Makati City.

But it was Mr. Ramon Rivera who took home the laurels and emerged as champion. He won for himself the grand prize of P20, 000.00 worth of Ever Bilena products, 1-year Platinum Priority Listing advertising in Kasal.com worth P24, 000.00, and a trophy.

Wedding Colors Came Alive at Bacolod Leg of Kasalang Filipino 2009

The 30^th MassKara Festival came in early for soon-to-wed couples as the best wedding suppliers of Bacolod City and the rest of Negros Occidental and Negros Oriental vividly presented their wedding custom, products, and services during the Kasalan sa Bacolod – Katahom guid sang Yuhom held last September 25 – 27, 2009 at the Robinsons Place Bacolod in Bacolod City.

Kasalan sa Bacolod is the tenth leg of Kasalang Filipino 2009 12-city wedding fair road show. The event, co-presented by Kasal.com, ABS-CBN Regional Network Group, Key Cities Events Marketing, and Robinsons Place Bacolod, began with ribbon cutting ceremony led by Bacolod City Mayor Evelio Leonardia.

During the first day of the bridal fair, renowned flower and event stylist Henry Pascual talked about the latest trends in event styling and how to effectively incorporate it in their wedding. Later, soon-to-wed couples and guests were treated to an Electric MassKara presentation wherein dancers wore costumes made colorful by lighted bulbs.

The city’s aspiring and professional make-up artists at the Ever Bilena Gandang Pinay Make-up Competition. The works of two make-up artists stood out among the rest: Mr. Armand Montano for the Bridal Category and Mr. Carlos Durana for the Fantasy Category.

But it was Mr. James Yabu who stood out among his colleagues and won himself the grand prize of PhP. 20, 000.00 worth of Ever Bilena products, 1-year Gold Priority Listing advertising in Kasal.com worth PhP. 5, 000.00, and a trophy. Make up artists Ms. Riz Lyka Ayuste and Mr. Gilbert Amable were declared first and second runner ups, respectively.

Kadayawan Wedding Festival concluded with a fashion show, showcasing the works of some of the best bridal couturiers of Mindanao. All the couples who attended the event received free gift packs while lucky couples received special gift packs and gift certificates courtesy of the event sponsors.
